Apayi Nasab is a tweenty two year old girl from Uganda. Iam fascinated with her passion and commitment to spread around hope and love. She’s a member of Activista Uganda and works every day with people who share the same vision with her, which is to make this world a better place.
»Every morning i wake up and think i should help everyone out there that needs help. So, i and activista members go to office and identify serious problems that need immidiate solution, such as starving children, women and elderly who are unable to support themselves. Some times when i walk on the streets of Kampala i come across with young beggars. They wear frayed clothes and beg for food. These scenes make me really sad and when i have money with me i always buy them something to eat’.
She came up with the idea of activism from a very early age because she feels that she can help those who can’t make their voices heard and her objective is to see one day all people being treated as equals.
Her dream is to become a journalist and work with people from different parts of the world. »I want to travel, meet people, become familiar with other cultures and customs so that i can teach others from my experiences around the world. I will work all of my life to become a better person» .
This is a story not just of one girl, but of a generation of young people who adamantly believe that anything imaginable is possible and do remarkable work in our world.
Apayi is one of my heroes and i’ll meet her in Uganda very soon🙂
